Dalbellos vs fulltilt

I have some full tilt dropkicks and they are alright. they have never really fit right and i was looking at some of dalbellos boots. i want something i can ski park in but i can also rip all mountain on. i also race and love my race boots but if i hit a jump in them i obviously feel like i broke both my legs. Are the kr 2 pros a good choice? or will the moros work well too? im open to any other boots as well.

always a solid choice. only flaw is my local shops only sell full tilt and some carving boots in other brands. so they pretty much just try to sell me those

It depends on what fits you better. Full tilt is more of a commercialized, name brand.

boot fitter...
I have full tilts and love them they fit my foot very well. i went to a fitter put me in dalbellos they felt amazing in the shop got on the hill and my feet had never hurt so much in my life.

I feel you. Where I live, the boot shops either carry Lange Race 130's or Full Tilt Booters. It sucks. I got fitted when I went to Jackson, where they have huge selections. If you have a chance coming up to go to a ski town, seize it for boot fitting. Not only will shops there carry more boots, but the fitters in general will have more experience and will send you in the right direction.

I've got Dalbellos and I love them. I don't think you can go wrong with either, just make sure you get the boot with the proper fit

Definitely cant go wrong with Dalbello as long as they fit your foot. i have the kr2 cores and love them, i believe they are a less stiff version of the pros (could be wrong on that).

i was defiantly planning on trying them on as far as fit goes. i was looking for more of a review as far as the versatility of the boots. did you feel like you could ski park on them and ski retain a good feel when carving and riding some trees or powder? another question as far as full tilts. are any of their boots different other than the fact they have different flexes?

But if your having serious fit issues with full tilts, they will probably carry over to your dalbellos, the boot shape is fairly similar between FTO full tilt shells and KR 2 dalbello shells

I've owned Full Tilt Seth Morrisons, and just recently bought Dalbello Il Moro T's. I was custom fit into the tilts, and they are now on the BST if that says anything.

They're both great boots, but for me I prefer the buckling system of the Dalbello's, and they feel a bit more solidly built to me. I also REALLY like the slap ratchet buckling mechanism on the Dalbello's that allow them to flex differently based simply on how you buckle it. Although this year I believe they're going away from that. They really fit me darn near the same after molding the intuition liners, save the extra space from sizing up with the DB's. Going to have some custom footbeds made for the Dalbello's when I head out to Jackson here in a few weeks.

But seriously, get fit. I interchanged between the two because I knew they both fit relatively similar, and the Tilt was already deemed the best fit for my foot(the shop didnt deal in Dalbello at the time) after trying on like 8 different brands. So I kind of knew it was a pretty good chance I'd like the fit of either one. Best of luck in your search man!

Don't just look at dalbello and full tilt. They are only two of the small boot brands. Have you considered boots from brands like salomon and atomic ect. These brands generally hav a bigger range with a broader range of fits and flexes. I have been fitting for over 10 years and 3 piece boots maybe only make up 5% of all the thousands of boots I have fitted. So don't get thinking that you need a 3 piece, as in most circumstances an overlap boot will fit better, be easier to customise and give a better performance. So overall go see a fitter and let him select the boots for you. Don't even mention any boots to him just have him select the boots. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions.

Exactly this. When I went through my fitting the FT's were actually the very last boot I tried. Every other brand hit my foot oddly in 1 spot or the other, and on the last attempt they just happened to fit like a glove. Not the same for everyone.

I unfortunately live in new york. a good boot fitter is hard to come by. i might just have to make a trip to vermont or something.
