Replying to Faction Candide 3.0 Review and 3. Zero
I have had the pleasure to own both the CT 3.0 and 3 Zero Faction Skis. I would like to give my review of them on here since Faction is new and people need to know about how awesome they
are!
1) Faction Candide 3.0, 191cm. - This ski is extremely light and it charges. It def performs best in pow conditions because it is a flat ski with rocker and no camber. The ski is the best POWDER ski I've ever had the experience to ski on. It floats so well it almost too fast for ya. The ski also pops back at you too when you load it. You can throw tricks mid-line so much easier then other pow skis and stomp them with ease. On groomers the ski charges as well.
2) Faction 3 Zero, 191 cm - Ya know when I skied the Sir Francis Bacons years back I thought those were the most versatile skis you could buy, until the 3 Zero came along. This ski is also light and it charges just as well as the Candide, however, with some camber underfoot and some rocker, it makes the ski so easy to turn in all conditions. This ski KILLS it in the moguls, powder, groomers, and everything in between. I havent taken them in the park yet, however, you can def butter on them and pop on them very well. I was expecting the ski to be typical CHARGER like a Blizzard or Volkl ski and have no pop, but that is def not true. You can butter the ski just like a strong cambered park ski and yet the skis stay strong when straight lining. Other reviews of this ski have said they are slow to initiate turns, I found that not to be the case at all. The ski turns on a dime so well in all conditions - not just pow and not just groomers but all conditions.
Overall, both of these skis are amazing. If you had to decide on one, it would just depend on your personal preference and what you plan to ski on. For Colorado resort skiing, I would recommend the 3 Zero. Also I would also like to point out that I do not work for Faction or ride for them at all. Thanks for reading!
