Faction Candide 3.0 Review and 3. Zero

I have had the pleasure to own both the CT 3.0 and 3 Zero Faction Skis. I would like to give my review of them on here since Faction is new and people need to know about how awesome they
are!
1) Faction Candide 3.0, 191cm. - This ski is extremely light and it charges. It def performs best in pow conditions because it is a flat ski with rocker and no camber. The ski is the best POWDER ski I've ever had the experience to ski on. It floats so well it almost too fast for ya. The ski also pops back at you too when you load it. You can throw tricks mid-line so much easier then other pow skis and stomp them with ease. On groomers the ski charges as well.
2) Faction 3 Zero, 191 cm - Ya know when I skied the Sir Francis Bacons years back I thought those were the most versatile skis you could buy, until the 3 Zero came along. This ski is also light and it charges just as well as the Candide, however, with some camber underfoot and some rocker, it makes the ski so easy to turn in all conditions. This ski KILLS it in the moguls, powder, groomers, and everything in between. I havent taken them in the park yet, however, you can def butter on them and pop on them very well. I was expecting the ski to be typical CHARGER like a Blizzard or Volkl ski and have no pop, but that is def not true. You can butter the ski just like a strong cambered park ski and yet the skis stay strong when straight lining. Other reviews of this ski have said they are slow to initiate turns, I found that not to be the case at all. The ski turns on a dime so well in all conditions - not just pow and not just groomers but all conditions.
Overall, both of these skis are amazing. If you had to decide on one, it would just depend on your personal preference and what you plan to ski on. For Colorado resort skiing, I would recommend the 3 Zero. Also I would also like to point out that I do not work for Faction or ride for them at all. Thanks for reading!

Great review! I've been thinking about getting the 3.0 vs. SFB or Opus next year for my powder ski. I'll probably end up demo'ing them all but it's good to hear your opinions. Have any more useful info comparing these? I've heard tons of people praise the SFB for a pow ski but not as much for the 3.0.

Agreed. Been skiing the 3.Zero's all season on the east coast. Not the good East coast, like vermont, but the shitty Berkshires, where the conditions are either groomed or ice. I have had no problem with the 3.Zeros on those conditions. Thats how versatile they are. Just came back from a trip to Jackson, Targhee, and Big Sky, and they were the only ski in my bag as well. Again, I couldn't have picked a better ski. They kick ass on the steeps, float well through fresh and cut up pow, and want to go fast. Throw a pair of Dukes/Guardians on there, and you have the perfect one ski quiver for the Northern Rockies.

The SFB is a lot easier to ski and takes sharper turns than the 3.Zero. In my opinion, the SFB is like a beginner pow ski much like the JJ. The 3.Zero and Candide 3.0 has less sidecut in the 183 and 191 lengths so it wants to ski straighter which i like it better when skiing powder. Also comparing to the SFB, the skis are stronger and stiffer for sure.

Any more info on these? This decision is killing me! Looking to throw some Dukes on one of these to rally some day tours, and resort riding here at alyeska ak, so that means heavier pow/chop/booters!
Already have the bacons as jib ski, just wish they were longer. Thinking about shiros for the big guys of my quiver. But cant figure out the everyday ride 3.0 vs 3zero???

^ Go 3.zeros. Great everyday ride, I fucking love mine. Also 3.0's and shiros will overlap quite a bit.

It depends what year you get, This year I think they made it a more chargy ski, while still being light. They decreased both the tip and tail rocker and now the tail especially is a lot flatter than in previous years.
