i have an opportunity to pick up some used ARG's for around 300 bucks, don't ski pow often but are they worth it for when i do?

Probably the funnest ski I've skied when they is 7+ inches of fresh. Scariest ski I have ever skied on a cat track. They are epic on bottomless days and charge skied up crud like its nothing, but they are shit on hardpack snow. I sold mine in order to get something more versatile.

This. They are extremely good skis for what they are designed to do. Powder, and lots of it. But they are easily outdone by other skis in the hard pack. I would check the B/S forum. You can find lots of lightly used, more versatile skis for around that 300 mark.
