When I'm in the BC I have this belief that the mountain is a malevolent thing that is actively trying to kill me. Keeps me on my game.

Skis have a certain foot they go on, jacket cuffs need to be over my gloves/mitts, drag my tails when getting on the lift, avoid calling last run, and kicking snow off my skis before runs.

One ski pole's got a circle basket, the other's got a star basket. The star basket always goes in my right hand

If I plan on doing any flips during a run I won't use poles for that run. And I have to scrape most of the snow off my skis during the lift ride

My pole straps tend to come loose pretty easily, so every time I stop I tighten them up

after catching on rails so many times, i have developed the superstition that all rails are sticky unless proven otherwise by another skier

Always have to boot my left boot on first, same goes for skis. At the end of the day have to take the left boot off before the right.

Left sock must go on before right sock. Left boot must go on before right boot. Left ski must go on before right ski. Same for taking them off. Always left first, then right. Been doing this with skis, boots, shoes, socks, and flip flops since I was 14. Don't know why. When I try on shoes/boots at a store and they only bring me the right one, i feel off for the rest of the day. it's very unnerving and out of balance.

Skis can't have any snow on them before dropping into any run through the park or else I feel like I'll nut myself

Always click my poles on a drop in, Pole straps can't be twisted, and have to hop up and down after I click in.

Going up the canyon you go through a gap between two giant boulders, and its called silent rock. You cant talk while going through it or you will have bad luck that day skiing.
All times are Eastern (-5)
