Whats your skiing superstition? I know a lot of people that cant hit jumps at night, cant ski without poles. I was just wondering, whats yours?

skis go on a certain foot. even if the graphics aren't supposed to match up, so they can go on either one, ill start riding them with a particular one on each foot and feel weird if i change it

also never call last run. its always two minus one

For some reason i got in the habit of knocking on my skis before every run, kind of like knocking on the wood inside of my ski, to dispell any voodoo stuff i jinxed on

My jacket cuffs just always be nice and snug over top of my mitt cuffs. If it's any different I must take the time to re-adjust, or else I just can't ski.

This so much. It threw me off on the lift and when I got to the top I swapped em back.

I also wear the same pair of socks and the same base layer my first time out. Only after those are dirty will I wear anything else.

Also I stamp down hard to make sure there's no snow in my bindings, at least twice on each ski, even when I know there's no chance of it being there.

and, like in hockey, I put everything that comes in pairs on my left side first ex:

left sock then right sock, left pant leg right pant leg, left boot, left sleeve, left mitt, left ski, left pole etc.

Don't know why i do it just has been that way since I started playing hockey or dressing myself.

Click into my bindings atleast twice, jacket over cuffs, hitting poles together and every piece of gear must have a drop cliffs not bonb sticker on it, dnt ask why just started doing it a ciuple of years ago and now its the first thing i do when i get gear

Also. My pole straps have a little R and L on them. The right one has to be on my right hand even though there isn't a difference

Yeah my old 09 Invaders with the trippy disco design the same on both skis had an L or R on the bindings.

Skis have to be on the right foot (one ski has a sticker on it)
Long underwear pants have to be pulled above my boots because when I was little they would chafe my legs
Goggles must be perfectly alligned with helmet. Any gaper gap requires me taking off helm and fixing it
Boots must be buckled in the exact same spot every time (4th notch, 5th notch, 4th notch)

I have to park the car so it faces the mountain. No idea why, i'll pick a parking spot far away from the lift just so it faces the hill..

I also start the day by doing a nosepress to tailpress just standing still. To make sure the bindings aren't fucked I guess

Superstitions, no. weird rituals,yes.

I always take a deep breath before dropping in anything.
I never ski with my phone in the park.
I must have something in both pockets without creating a bulge
warm double layer pants under my snow pants
never call last run, or just relax the last run.

The only thing I really do is have the correct pole in each hand. I have one Scott and one Armada pole, Scott is always in the right hand. This is because it is a stronger pole and I use my right hand to smack branches off trees and shit like that.

I always call last run, don't care about left / right ski, don't care about buckles, etc. I don't follow all that bullshit.

Always clean snow of by boots by kicking the binding. Even if there is no snow on them. If I don't do that I just feel like my skis are going to fall off
