Powder skis in the park?

at my local hill we got some pretty good rail riders. and some of them have these huge wide powder skis and they just dominate the rails and they look steezy as f**k. do wider skis help you to lock onto rails or something cause i mean there big skis they seem like they would be heavy and sluggish are these riders just super good or is there a secret im missing out on

Its just different. Im not the best but i use fat skis in the park (131 underfoot). Its just personal preference.

well it is a wider platform, therefore balance comes a little easier when you are on rails and such. that being said it is harder to huck a huge spin out of a rail
