I was just searching through the forums and it struck me that there were no traces of an official Top Gear thread. Now what the fuck, I say. Therefore, I hereby declare this official Top Gear thread opened. Oh cock. Share your favorite moments, whether it's good or awesome. Or superb. Which we all know it will be.
So because there is no "Official" thread that means there needed to be one? This whole "Official" thread thing is stupid. It's one thing if you're posting a new topic, but making a new thread on a topic that has several pretty damn old threads on the subject simply because they don't say "official" is fucking stupid.
Just watched episode 4 of season 21. Dubai looks fucking nuts with all the super/hypercars just driving round the streets and having lambos and ferraris for police cars. Looks crazy!
I'm slowly but steadily making my way from Series 1 till whatever they are at now. Currently I'm in Series 7 and its awesome watching trends develop like leaving people behind on challenges once they have broken down.
Series 1-2 were a bit meh but 3+ start to get real entertaining.
I saw Jeremy Clarkson at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw Jeremy trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
Id say lets give them a chance. The show is slowly getting better. The british version kinda sucked the first couple seasons and they have been together for 21 seasons now. Also, the British show's budget is almost twice that of the American show. The Britsih show is a hundred times better
Hahah, yeah, I see your point.. But I couldn't find any threads related to Top Gear at all. I don't know if that was just a consequence of my general ignorance, or if I'm actually right.. Back to that "official" thing, I don't really know why i used that. Just seemed strange that there were not already a thread with "official" and "Top Gear" in the title. Cheers.
