Replying to My view on the BuzzFeed article
Coming from a kid who has done both, snowboarding first and then skiing, attempting park on both sides, the article was a bunch of trash. They act as if snowboarding is the holy grail of snow sports. I quote from the article, "Like, who voluntarily hurls themselves down a steep slope with zero regard for life and limb?" and "Quick, see how long you can balance on your left leg. Pretty tough, huh?". What the fuck is this shit? First off, when you step into the binding of your skis or your snowboard, you're automatically risking breaking a limb, not just when you snowboard. Second, I have seen plenty of skiers hit rails with one ski on the rail. Many people say snowboarding is harding than skiing. I too have said this before. But now that I look back at that statement, it's not true what so ever. You work hard enough at anything, you can get good at it. It all depends on how much effort you actually put forth into what you're trying to advance at. And from personal experiences, I've heard so many snowboarders in lift lines or in the park say, "Skiing is so much easier than snowboarding. We actually have to have balance to do shit in the park where you just stand on two planks". After I heard that I then proceeded to facepalm. Overall, that article really rustled my jimmies. It was obviously written by someone who truly doesn't know what they're talking about.
