I'm kinda new to photography, but it really interests me. I'm looking to get my first camera. Im looking to spend below 1000 of the bat, but if this ends up being really interesting to me, I will probably invest later too. I haven't ever used a real camera before, so I have no idea what I'm looking for. I do not have any other camera gear, but I do know some people who might let me borrow a few things if I really needed it. I probably want a camera that I can hand to my friends and they would know how to take a simple picture, but not specific things. I wouldn't mind learning more on what everything does and how to work it. When I film skiing, I use a GoPro. I like to mix up my shots so not everything is boring. I have a mac. I currently have photoshop CS4 and the latest version of final cut. I would say I'm and expert at Photoshop(8.5/10), and a beginner at Final Cut Pro X (2/10) Again, I wouldn't mind learning more about other programs. Is these what I should be using.
This may sound newbish, but I will most likely be taking more photos than videos, although I'd love to film too.
