Quick FKS Question

Do you know by how much your boot shell increased or decreased by. For instance did your bsl go from a 327 to a 317? Likely, if it is a jump higher than 5-8mm they would need to be remounted. Also can you tell me if you stomp into the binding and wiggle your feet laterally, does it feel not light they are locked in very securely?

No I got new skis and bindings. The bindings were already mounted on the skis so I brought them in to see if they would need to be remounted or just adjusted. The previous owner had 310 (I think) and I have 315. They said they would NOT have to be remounted and just adjusted them for me.

And as for the wiggle, they feel solid that way (side to side). It's only when I nose butter/lean forward a lot. Like if I am standing still and I just try to lean forward, when I get the back of my skis a little off the ground I just pop right out. And one time I was nollieing (?) off of a stall and popped out and fell about 15 feet straight to my face. Not trying to have that happen again

Experiment with the forward pressure, tighten the screws to see if it helps or loosen them. Goodluck!

When I got my FKS mounted, they shop hadn't properly adjusted the forward pressure. I had the same problem, horribly embarrassed myself in the lift line doing a nollie. You should clip one of your boots in and tighten up the forward pressure arms on the heel piece until they are snug on the heel of your boot. There are three "bands" on the silver part of the arms, you want to be near the second one/be able to see the first one.

The forward pressure is pretty hard to get right on fks at the best of times and when your trying to set the binding to a boot it was not mounted for its even harder. What I would do I take them to a shop and have both the forward pressure checked and have a release test done. As the bindings are not new it may simply be that they are worn out. If it's a forward pressure issue you may need a remount which may mean a slight change of mount point or maybe you can just move the toes or heels not both. But take them to a decent shop.

Yes, thats a great advice.. Experiment with your knees, see how much they can handle..

This is how the forward pressure should look like.. The end of that white piece should be right between the black lines..
Screw/unscrew the arms on each side (the same ammount on each side) to get this result..

Ugh... Guys. If you don't know how to adjust forward pressure and DINs to your skiing, you probably should just stick to STHs.
