Skier skating/skater skiing

So I'm 15, I started skiing when I was six and I started skateboarding also when I was six. I consider myself more of a skateboarder only because I get to skate more, but then again it's hard to put myself under one category because I share the same love with skiing. All of my friends that I skate with snowboard and constantly give me shit for skiing. Last that I checked, there isn't a rule that all skateboarders must snowboard. I just don't understand. I think snowboarding is great and all, but why can't we all get along. Why is it so wrong for a person to shred on skis and shred on a skateboard. But all in the end we share the same love. There is nothing like being up on the mountain slashing snow and ripping the park with your friends. But why must a skater snowboard???

finnish ski/snowboard scene is really mellow, so people dont give shit to anybody in the local skateramps, no matter are you a skier or a snowboarder. but theres too many kids who ski in the winter and scoot in the summer, and nobody likes them lol

thats true, but i can deal with them if they know the skatepark etiquette,but they dont... they snake pretty much all the time, use ledges and rails for sitting, thow empty soda cans in the ramps etc. of course there are few kids who arent like that but most of them...

I've actually met a few chill scooter kids, but other than that, they need to stay out of the parks unless they follow the rules just like everyone else. Of course you have other skaters and bikers that can't follow the rules too. Just like on the mountains. The parks are NOT a playground

You either take shit too seriously, or your friends are dicks, or your friends are gapers. I haven't met really any "actual" snowboarders/skiers that hate on each other.
