Yo guys, so a week ago I was being stupid and jumped off a pretty high wall, about 15-17 feet. Immediately, I had immense pain in my heels. Ive had this type of injury before from shorting jumps, landing flat, etc. This time though, the pain in my heels went away but now when I'm in a seated position, the sides (under my ankle bones) ache a lot. I'm talking like barely being able to sit still in class from this pain. When I walk, the pain isn't there, its only when I sit.. has anyone had this symptom from bruising their feet?

Bruised heels a couple of times. If you do it bad enough it can take awhile to heel because there is a lot of fatty tissue down there that doesn't heal quickly. Also since its in the bottom of your body blood pools down there and prolongs the healing process. Best bet is to keep it elevated as often as you can. When you go to sleep at night prop your foot up on a pillow. Also massage it when you can so you can work the old blood out and cycle in new stuff. It will help it heal fast. Still could take a month or so though.

i would be the reason that it hurts when you sit is that the blood pools in your feet. when you are walking you blood is flowing faster and thus doesnt pool in your feet as much

Sounds broken. You probably compressed your ankle bone which could have impacted or even fractured your heelbone. Get an x ray
