In half the magazien articles I read in freeze(rip) and freeskier ect. theres always someone who is like 'park skiers are aweful skiers'( which i do agree with if they dont spend time just skiing around a mountain) but there always like, 'why dont the get there asses out of the park and go into the backcountry.' Hell i would love to do this but just so they know not everyone lives in colorado or utah and has access to that shit. I live on the eastcoast which has several mountains but after skiing around on hardpack/groom for a few days it gets really boring and repetitive. The park is the only place that never gets old, now if there was a powder day i would ski the mountain instead of the park, but theres always those few kids in the park who claim to be ' Park skiers'. The mountains should close the park on powder days like the close certain runs because theres no powder to open it up. In the last freeze they had Henrik W. interviewed and he said something similar to this but I think what he doesnt realize is that all skiers cant go ski peaks, or have the knowledge of the backcountry to go do this, younger park skier esspecailly would literally kill themselves because most little park skiers have little to no common sense what so ever. So they can really only ski the park and stay inbounds. So really pros/writers opinions should consider everywhere people ski before saying things like this.
