Do you guys think its worth it to try to do a little DIY project to make my own skis? It sounds interesting and I love anything DIY. Also I've heard it's something you can put on transcripts that look good for material engineers/design. Thoughts?

skibuilders.com Also a good thread on here. Price can very quite a bit depending on how many pairs and how complex you want to get with materials and your press.

I'm doing this in summer aswell - building myself a longboard at the moment which is slightly similar to ski making. Kinda working my way up to ski level. You'll have to do a lot of research into the type of ski and all of it dimensions etc
Assuming your not going to be building you own bindings and that you have or are going to build your own ski press I can't see the price coming to more than £100
