Whoooweeee these babies are built to charge! I skied some variable snow with them this week and compared to the 2012 BC's, the 2015's are incredible. Straight lining on these skis through bumpy crud was smooth as butter. I didn't get any tip chatter, I didn't get bucked on the bumps, and I carved like it was a race ski. Oh lawdy jaysus, this is my dream ski. I haven't used them in pow yet but I'll get to that in a couple days.
These are the brand new ones with the tip technology yeah? I heard those things don't like any direction but straight. An insanely beefy, nothing but charge ski. More reviews please!!!!
I got a pair to ski on this spring from my friendly atomic rep and I've been having a blast on them here in the PNW with all this new snow. Super surfy but definitely can charge too. The tip just planes really well and keeps them predictable in the cut up stuff too
if you've ever felt the flex of an Atomic Blog, it's pretty dang close to that. I like to think of it honestly as a fatter version of the blog (which is great since they are getting rid of the blog for that god awful Automatic 109). Although it seems to be softer, it holds up in every condition better than the previous models. Personally I was never a fan of the old bentchetler, it always felt kind of dead.
I straight lined horseshoe bowl at Breck today in them and they made it feel easy. Next run I carved my way down pretty quickly and they felt more stable than anything I've ever ridden. Still no update on how they are in deep powder though.. Hopefully we'll get another decent storm soon.
