We try to keep our content newschoolers.com exclusive but with the recent NBC hype on freeskiing we figured now would be a good time to try and showcase our interpretation of the sport. So if any of you have a connect at NBC, ESPN, ABC, CBS, PBS, HBO ect let us know! We need to show the world wus realllllly.
Now that freeskiing has become "popular" thanks to the International Olympic Committee, it seems like a good time to upload our most recent movie onto Youtube to present a unique interpretation of this "sport." let's set the record straight, when you're riding down 3000ft of vertical mountain, you are actually engaging in strenuous physical activity.. When you smoke some marijuana mixed with tobacco and ski across concrete, it is questionable wether this should be considered a "sport." Fortunately, most of us aren't training for anything special in the streets beside getting better at skiing on concrete. Don't let the name of the movie fool you, there is still an abundance of hungry #thirsty homeless people derpnapping on concrete every night; we weren't able to feed them all due to lack of funding :(
"dunno how y'all see it, but when it comes to the children. wu tang is for the children. we teach the children."
Follow up with us in the new VICE series "Freed;" a history of the performance enhancing drug, pot, and its involvement in action sports. From skateboarding, to snowboarding, this substance eventually entered the ski community, changing the sport to a stony recreational activity known as "freeskiing." It is clearly nothing more than a Highdea that in the late 90's, tips were added to the end of skis to allow kids sick of racing down a mountain to also ski backwards off a jump and do a backflip, something that had never before been understood in aerials and moguls.
The olympics might be over but the after-party has just begun. Join us at the library, the cathedral, post-office, apartment complex/ Wells-Fargo parking lot while we turn up in the skreeets and bust one in the road.
