i know you have your anti-patriots agenda and wont listen anyways, but this is such a non-issue its not even funny.
first of all, all the tags "questionable, doubtful, probable" and whatever (i know they are based on percentages how likely it is that the player will suit up) are just words.
if they call a quad injury a hip issue, who the hell cares? the whole spikes situation was different, but a team can place a player on IR whenever they want to. he obviously had SOME kind of injury, so its not even that outlandish. its not like they are gaining anything from it, they forfeit to use this players' service for the reminder of the season.
every team has an own way of reporting injuries. a quick research shows that in wk 17 last year (i would say every team has a ton of guys with minor injuries at that point), the bears reported TWO players on their injury report, while the jets listed 16 players and all but one were "probable".
if you look down that list, the pats actually look like one of the few teams which invests more time in their injury report (given that they actually care to differentiate between the injury tags).
