After what just happened today, don't be. They can tank for the rest of the year and I'd be happy. I just love to see San Francisco (Santa Clara?) go home with their tail fixed between their legs in any sport...
Being a redskins fan is making me feel like an alcoholic. I know I would be better off not tuning in, but I can't. Then as soon as I do I remember what it is like to be 3-9 for the second year in a row and start drinking...heavily...
DeebieSkeebieswhy why why why are the packers so fucking good?
Aaron rodgers is a freak of nature. Hes like brett favre without all the interceptions. The only way someone is going to beat them is by putting up A LOT of points, or somehow get rodgers to turn the ball over. But the latter seems impossible right now

I remember watching some random dude named Aaron Rodgers come in as a JuCo transfer at UC Berkeley a decade ago... out of some random school that's basically where you go if you couldn't get into Chico State... and he comes in with this insane poise and quick-draw-mcgraw pass slingin style and lead the Bears to national acknowledgement for the first time in 11 years.. Teams couldn't figure out how to deal with how fast he got balls to his recievers, it was crazy.
Seriously. This was the team Cal had...
Aaron Rodgers
Marshawn Lynch
DeShawn Jackson
Justin Forsett
Alex Mack
Thomas DeCoud
Brandon Mebane
You put all of those guys on one NFL team today, and that's all the core you need for a serious playoff condender. Fucking unbelievable, those days in Berkeley.

Totally agree! Seattle drafted Forsett, he even played behind Lynch for a season I believe. They decided they didn't need him any more and picked up turbin in the draft the next year... I always liked that guy, even more bummed out that we got rid of him now that he is emerging as a breakout. Would have been the perfect 2nd back and predecessor to Lynch!
Whats everyones take on the new policy? I think its good they are actually hiring someone to deal with matters like this, instead of letting goodell or other league guys come up with disciplinary actions. Its obvious they fucked up big time with this ray rice ordeal and don't want to do it again.
Oh and If Suh wants his agent to make his mind for him, That's fine. Its clear hes just in it for the money instead of actually winning a championship. Go let him get signed to a ridiculous contract and have him lay a fucking egg and not play anymore cuz hes finally paid.
Bakerpowbig day for the hawks! packers loose, we get a w and if we win out we could get home field again!
Yeah but still pretty hard to decide who this team is. The offense still looks disjointed, and it seems like they have some sort of red zone phobia. Their conversion rate in those situations is brutal even with the 4 game win streak. Most of the problem is in the air, there's no issue with Lynch / Wilson / Turbin on the ground, but you need some sort of passing game to open the run production up. The wins haven't been decisive or convincing and there are question marks.
That said, you look at the losses, and the last two have been a 4 point loss to the Chiefs in a game they had a good chance to take home, and a game against the Rams in which they were, you'd have to say, the better team overall and deserved a W in. Add to that the loss to the Chargers in the middle of a freak heat wave where the field temp was about 120 and Philip Rivers played out of his mind. They deserved the loss to the Cowboys, but at the same time, that was a close game and one Seattle led in the fourth quarter. So all in all, while the wins haven't all been very convincing, neither have any of the losses.
The defense has improved significantly as the year has gone on, but last year they were a clear favourite to make the super bowl along with the Broncos. This year they're one of a number of teams that just has a shot. Still, that shot is a lot better if they do get to play at home.
ESPN, please dump Ray Lewis. Anybody who was part of a double murder should not be commentating on prime time sports. That's also ignoring the fact that he sucks at commentating in the first place.
.Hugo.That is gonna be a tough road to the super bowl for anyone in the afc
Assuming the Patriots can start more efficiently, yes. The 1st half offense has been lacking recently. However, the second half defense hasn't let up a 2nd half TD for like 7 games or something.
road through seattle again. not scared of the nfc outside of dallas. everyone else in the division is limping in. rodgers health is huge, the week off definitely helps.
