Replying to Kiteboarding: Want to start

Kiteboarding looks like a lot of fun, but I have no clue on how much it cost, how hard it is to learn, or how to start it. Anyone here on NS kiteboard?

I would like to know what I should do to start, what I should buy, how much it might cost, how to do it (if anyone knows some helpful videos)

should I go somewhere to take lessons? I live in Upstate NY, by Lake Ontario, so I'm not sure there are any. I see people do it at the beach.
