Bummed for Byron. Love the Kiwis! Just hoping everyone stomps their runs. A US sweep would be sweet, but I really want everyone to land solid & ski out. Pipe is so ridiculously difficult.
The women's giant slalom was moved to an earlier start time due to rain being forecasted to take place during the original start time. We'll, they've started the race and it looks like it's absolutely pissing at the start gate...
They won't even provide coverage from the top set of cameras, I'd imagine the lenses are just beaded right over with water. They're so damn lucky they can pull that off with the one minute start intervals these girls are racing with.
I would be very worried about what this rain might do to the already horrible condition of the pipe. If it gets the same weather the GS course is seeing now we will definitely see it being pushed forward to tomorrow or two days from now.
Raining/snowing at the top of the GS course, constant rain at the bottom. The Rosa Khutorr Extreme Park is at a lower altitude than the Alpine Centre so I'd imagine the pipe is seeing plenty of rain. The low is +5C and the high is +12C. I really question if this thing will be happening later tonight in Russia. It's only supposed to get warmer as the week rolls on so on the other hand I can't see conditions improving.
cbc annoncer needs to shut the fuck up about riders getting another hit, and judges fucked up, giving margetts and blunck some lowball scores, and then just boosting the other scores after that
noah styliest run
