Replying to Boots,to small?

So I got some new boots and I'm not quite sure what is to small or the right size. I had some spk's that fit way to loose and were way to big when I got them. Never really rode with a properly fitting boot before. So my toes are hitting the front of the boot, is the normal for your toes to hurt on new boots? Its a length issue not width of toe box. I think im just freaking out bc my other boots were really comfy but power transmission was terrible.
