Secondly, in a brand new boot that is the proper size for skiing your toes should touch the front of the boot when standing upright. When you flex forward, your toes should pull away from the front.
Thirdly, definitely get a proper footbed. A footbed supports your arches and among other things, it holds your foot in the back of the boot not allowing your toes to smash the front.
