IPhone freezing and shutting down while filming

Yo so I had my iPhone 5 on a tripod filming my backyard setup and it froze, shut off and I lost all te shots I had. Is there any way to recover these shots? Thanks yo

Stick it in the microwave to warm it up.

Rinse it with hot water. Sometimes the grime builds up.

At least your phone doesn't crash everytime you try to take a picture. I press the shutter button. App crashes.
