How much that's traffic to the site increased in the past few weeks? Just curious because of the Olympics and I remember bishop speculating about 5 months back that traffic was going to double or triple.

We'll kind of have to see how the next bit plays out, but the day of Olympics slopestyle traffic was about double a super busy winter day, and about triple an average winter day for us.

Just around 120,000 people visited Newschoolers yesterday. Pretty crazy shit if you ask me.

So we'll see how things go over the next couple of weeks. It appears though that lots of people are dropping by due to the increased interest in the Olympics.

Yeah I've seen a lot of people sharing stuff from fb which could help get a lot more people too.

Yeah I mean the spoilers are annoying, but its kind of the name of the game. Ideally we want to be the place where everything breaks - whether its on Newschoolers, on another site or wherever - we want you to be able to get the full cross-section here as well as discussion.

That has been huge actually. Basically nothing gives a traffic boost these days like a huge number of people sharing stuff on FB to their friends.

Often this is where NS succeeds the most, as our community finds out about stuff here and then shares it with their friends. That is basically the whole idea, as I mentioned in the post above.

The idea is to give you a more social networking-style experience, except completely only about skiing. When you don't like stuff, downbomb that shit to oblivion. Together we can figure out what the internet of skiing looks like.

We have now officially had over 1 million individual people come through the site in a 30 day period.
