Armada Al Dente vs. Fat-ypus L toro

Hey guys I was looking at both these skis and was wondering if anyone had any experience riding them and which one would be a better ski.

My brother rides dentes and loves them. very light, playful ski that can still ski anywhere on the mountain. Only issue is that they aren't super durable do to there thinner construction and flexible tips. overall I would recommend them based on his reactions. I personally only rode them for a short time.

L toros are the shit. theyre light as fuck, playful, rip the whole mountain and I took them up to 60mph and they held it down. sooo fuckin fun.

I have the Al Dente's, it's a nice ski, very buttery in the tip, has fast bases and it's light for a wider ski, no problem with durability so far except some topsheet chipping which is normal. The only thing I don't quite like about them is that they are, well, too directional for a park ski, tip rocker only and different flex in the tip and tail. Great for all-mountain though, probably the best ski I've ridden outside of the park.

I've just ordered some Fatypus, soon I can compare both.

False, there flex pattern is 4 in the tip 5 under foot and 4 in the tail

Ha, says the guy who's only ever read the website. Find them in a shop - the tip is noticeably softer than the tail. If I had to do Armada's system I'd give them a 4-6-5 at the very least.

I agree with srg completely. I mounted mine 1cm back which I think is a prime mounting point and eliminates and directional ski related problems. You will be close enough to center but you also have got the sidecut on your side when it snows and you need the ski to still be playful.

i just got my l-toros center mounted yesterday and rode them for a little, they're super light for a wider ski and are really playful and flexy, i've heard al dentes have awful durability but cant say so on my own cuz ive never ridden them before, but they do have smaller edges copared to other park skis, if you can get the l-toros for a decent price pick them up!

I think awful is an exaggeration. The durability isn't the greatest but ive been thrashing on mine all season and I only have one chip on the top. I dont know how I got it but it was probably my fault. That said it is extremely light, playful, buttery, and just an overall super fun ski to ride.

i have the l toros and there great they are light durable and cool looking and great for throwing tricks in the park or in the pow
