Pole problem

Hi I want to reduce the length of my poles but I don't know how to detach the handle from the pole. I have armada ski poles(the simple ones)

pull real hard like, make sure you pull toward face.

Warm up the grip with hot air (hair dryer would work) itll help you slide it right off

Another method is to boil some water and then dip the grip in the water, can be a clunky trying to find a bowl or something large enough but the grip then slides straight off.
