Length of all-mountain skis

I'm thinking of getting me some Line Blends. They are on sale for 399 eur.

The only size they have is 185cm and I am 5'9 myself. I ski 70% park and 30% powder. But getting more and more into powderskiing.

What do you think about the size? Too long? Was hoping to get someting like 181-182.

Where do you think I should mount the bindings? Factory? (What is factory on the Line blend?)

Factory line is -4cm i think, it was on the year I had. The Blends measure a little short so the 185 is around a 183.

I'm 5'8 135 and rode the 178 as a park ski, for all mountain i think you'll find the 185 ok, I would definitely have preferred the extra length in pow. For 70% park though I would probably not want a 185 ski personally, if you do, mount them centre and they will feel the shortest possible.

If i mount them centre, wouldnt that take away a little of the powder abilities?

this. But if you ski a 185 at 5'9 it wont be too bad. It all depends on what you are used to though. The tail of the Blend is narrower than the tip so it does still sink allowing you to keep your tips up easier + the rocker helps. They do ski pow better mounted back but they will also ski worse in the park, especially if they are a little too long to start with. Mine were centre mounted and pow was my favourite thing on them. I found them a bit soft for everything else in the end, but in pow i liked them even at centre (better than some of the fatter skis I've owned).

Atm im on Aarmada alpha with centre mounted.

Guess ill try with them centre mounted!

they will be a lot better than a centre mounted alpha, enjoy.

as long as you arnt going to be using them in tight trees much you should be ok. id mount at -1, -2.

im 6 foot, 155 and i ride the 178 blend. I personally like the shorter ski for all mountain (i do very little park on them). They are a terrific ski that can handle anything. I rode 6+ fresh inches last weekend on them no problem.
