I'm interested in getting a pathfinder in the years of 97-03' anyone have one or have had one? Pros and cons? reliable, needed repairs?

My friend has one and it's pretty reliable. Downsides are a lack of power, bad gas mileage, uncomfortable, the 4wd system kinda sucks, there not safe, they roll over, and if something does go wrong parts are expensive. Get a Jeep Cherokee instead would be my advice. That's my .02

I am looking to buy, hence my asking if its reliable, otherwise i wouldnt give a shit. As to it being uncomfortable? explain? Ill look at the four runners, i do know they are sweet, buddies dad had a nice old one a while back. +k for your help guys!

The seats suck and the rides really bad. It's not hard but it kind of rattles you. Also should add the Nissan is not good offroad at all. It's based on a crossover platform, not a truck platform.

Im looking for a vehicle seats 6-7 and has decent size trunk space preferably awd\fwd, reliable and some what good on gas. any recommendations other than a Pathfinder?

thats some bullshit right there.They are actually really comfortable ,the 4x4 is fucking awesome, you have to be an idiot to make it roll over, and lastlty parts arent that expensive especially like he said that he was looking at 98' to 03'.

Finally some positive points, thanks dude! I really do like the interior/exterior of the pathfinder, I drive a car now and i dislike it quite a lot. Just much rather drive a truck.

Well well maybe the 2 I have ridden in had bad suspension, but I still maintain the seats suck. Also Nissans 4x4 system has no low range, and most didn't come with an LSD. Parts aren't THAT expensive but there still more then they would be for a 4runner or Cherokee
