Hi, I'm getting new skis this year and am having trouble on what to go with. I have been looking at chronics and pollards so far. I'm 20, 5'7' and 140lbs, been racing for most of my life but left that whole scene a few years ago. My other question is has anyone really tested out the new reactor bindings? are they reliable? I'm open to any new suggetions for skis as well. Most of my time is spent in midwest parks, but I do travel out to CO and Washington a few times a year.

i've put about 15 days on my reactors so far, several of those days riding pretty hard. absolutely no complaints so far and no problems whatsoever. i think the reactors are sick, and having line skis to switch them between is an added bonus.

I would suggest Skogens for your height. They are a 178, but have a similar, stiff flex pattern to the pollard.

i feel like the skogens will be too stiff, and aren't the pollards a little softer anyways? How do the line pros models perform in the park or on groomed snow, because as much as i want to be in the backcountry all the time, I know that won't happen

The skogen and the pollard have basically the same flex pattern. The mike nick is the same dimensions as the skogen, but softer. The chronics are sick. But with an 80mm waist, they are not the best all mountain ski.

I guess my biggest question is, Do the chronics and the pollards ride a lot differently when your just on the groomers. I am leaning towards the pollards because I want something good for when I go out west, but want to make sure they'll do me good back home.
