Hey every one i am looking for some help. I was recently diagnosed with Skin cancer and because of it I have to be very carful about the amount of UV rays my body takes in. Im looking for some info on face masks and goggles that designed to protect against uv rays. I understand that normal cloth will block out sun but I am in the military and my Chain of command wants me to prove that my gear can protect me from the sun or I will not be allowed to ride any more. ( which is bull shit because skiing has been the only thing to keep me sane during treatment). So if you guys know of any gear that could help me out that would be awesome.

I'd ask the staff at a local store about goggles with good uv protection. Then ask staff at a pharmacy store about skin lotion, they might have some alternative to a full-on white sunlotion, some treatments or something specificly made for sensitive skin.
I know this isn't the greatest advice and you probly heard some of this before but it's what i'd do
Best of luck man, hope this works out for you!

There are face masks that are UV rated for sun protection.

Pretty much every goggle company(oakley, anon, eletric, dragon, etc) offers UV specific lenses. Just go into your local shop and ask, they should be able to hook you up with a good setup,

I've been using the UV buff every day since last spring. Lots of military guys use them so maybe that will satisfy your supervisors. Skin cancer is no joke so sometimes I use a regular 50 SPF sunscreen all over and a sunscreen with zinc on my nose and then cover up my neck with the buff.

For goggles look at Smith and Oakley. I have a skin disorder, vitiligo, so I too need to always cover up when I ski. They are the top two when it comes to UV protection and go for one of their larger goggles such as I/Os or Canopies so you get as much coverage as you can. As for masks, plenty of wool companies make UV specific ones. They will be pricey but worth it. I generally just do sunscreen and my normal blaclava but it's all personal preference and how serious you want to take your protection.
