The boots i have at the moment fit great but are too stiff for my taste, but i cant afford new boots. The other day i loosened my boots up for a change and it made them feel a lot more flexy... Is this at all bad for me or my boots and will it put me at a greater risk of injury?
You will not have nearly as much controll. Also your foot will slide around, and you will be much more likely to develop shin bang. Just buckle them man.
Don't wear a loose boot, its just not good. Its up to you because you got to break in the new ones if you get them, but I would say just go for new ones.
He's not having problems. They are just too stiff. OP either ski harder, get stronger, or buy softer boots. Personally I think soft boots are dumb, as you loose all mtn control. So I would suggest the first two.
the cure for shin bang is a perfect fitting boot so i'm gonna go out on a limb and say you have a greater chance of shin bang with loose boots and definitely less control
