Was curious if anyone on here dabbles with getting sideways in the Spring/Summer if so, what events or tracks can you be found hooning around at? I've been to a couple Drift Movement events Held at Columbus Motor Speedway in Ohio.
I vaguely remember there being a s13/s14 forum in NSG a while back. The generally consensus was that everyone on newschoolers could afford to buy a shitter ka s13 but didn't have the money to go to events or mod so they ended up rolling around on shitting springs and steelies for like a year and then selling.
Sounds like most kids who want to get into drifting but honestly my first set up was no different lol. I started with a 91 s13 hatch bone stock, welded the diff up, bought some cheap ass second hand Megan coilovers, ripped the interior out, dropped a big ole bucket seat and ripped around. It's amazing what a diff, coils, and a seat can do for sliding lol.
Curse you buttheads up north and your 15yo classic car rule! BUT I put a picture up of the 89 R32 GTST I'm waiting on in that classic car thread, she got a lot of Neg karma. She'll be legal to hop over the pond in July.
There's a middle school that has a huge field that you can drift on at night. When there's snow, I stick my head out the window and it's face shots on faceshotz
Not too into the sport I have a miata, that 130hp has a tough time breaking loose in the dry haha. Rain on the other hand makes for some good tricks n tomfoolery
