Halo 2 Questions.

I got a few questions about the halo 2...
How's the durability?
Sidewall construction, good, no good?
Light?
Looks great for park, buttery, poppy, and looks like it handles well on rails and jumps, however I wanta hear some feedback from people that have skied it. +k for solid answers

I was quite disappointed when I tried them. They are fairly heavy and dont have much pop compared to skis like the ar7 and thall. If your after a soft jib ski that can also handle some fresh snow they may be fun, but I would choose an ar7 or thall over a halo as an everyday park ski.

How about on the east? I live in New Hampshire and rip ice daily. How would it hold up? And were they soft when you tried them? +k btw

Yeah on hard icy runs they are not going to be much fun. It was semi hard when I tried them and the soft flex and rocker meant they did not edge that well. As I said as a softer snow or a pure jib ski they could be good, but if your riding harder trails and still want a ski that carves look at the ar7 or thall if you still want a buttery ski.

I ride about 70% rails and 30% jumps and my mountain dosen't have any real difficult trails. But from your description of them they seem like they would be a good suit for me, as they handle well on rails and our very soft.

I'm worried however on the durability, sidewall construction, and weight though.

Well if your mainly a rail rider and your not hitting big jumps or carving yeah they should be fun.

They did feel a bit heavy but no worse then any wider park ski. Armada's durability is good. I got 3 seasons out of my last pair of armadas. Armada's warranty is pretty good too, so I would not worry about durability. Try to demo some though if you can and see if they suit you. Good luck finding a ski you like.

I have about 36 days on them so far and they aren't doing too well. The edge is broken really bad underfoot and will probably pull out by the end of February. The base has held up well and they don't have too many marks. The top sheet is also not the best and has a lot of chips and marks and does scratch easily. I have no delam problems at all though. The performance is very good. They're soft and playful which is great for rails. I hit about 80% rails and 20%jumps and they do fine. I do not go over 40 ft jumps really so I'm not sure how they will handle on anything bigger. The ski is a little heavy but it's manageable. Hope this helped.

so after riding this ski for about 40 days would you reccomend it? im hoping to get a good solid two season out of it. Is there another ski that preformes like the halo 2 but is lighter and more durable?

Im also looking at the atomic infamous. If im looking for a playful ski, buttery, poppy, and light, which one should I choose? and durability also plays a key role.

I demo'd the infamous at my home mountain earlier this year. Although I clearly can't help you on the durability part, skis were awesome, they held an edge really well, skied switch almost flawlessly, and were like a 6/10 for flex in the tip and 4 in the tail, which is perfect for 70%rails/30%jumps. They also weren't even broken in flex wise, so I'm sure after riding them for a few weeks they would have been a bit more playful. They were also pretty light weight, but I never hit any solid jumps with them so as for poppiness I'm not so sure. They were great skis though, I would recommend them. Hope this helps.

Halo 2 is a relatively unique ski, I have searched for skis like it for a while but nothing quite matches it. I would recommend it just because of how fun it is and how well it does on rails. I ski extremely hard so skis never really last for me. They should last two seasons.

Threads/ also looking at the halo's for my next ski

I have heard of tip delam on the infamous's but they have added another stud ( drawing a blank to what its actually called) on the tip to protect against it

I got the alpha for hitting bigger jumps and overfall faster charging. The halo is more fun for rails and playing around and would also be the one I would pick if I was going to riding out of bounds if I wasn't on one of my pow skis.

Do not get the infamous! I skied on them 3 times and the tips were both already coming apart as well as several edge cracks. I sent them back and ordered halo 2s and are arriving tomorrow! So hyped

You guys all think it's a heavy ski, but I have no problem spinning with them or doing switch ups on rails. I am also a racer and used to being on heavy skis, but they feel like relatively the same weight as my 2010 salomon suspects, maybe a little heavier if any heavier at all

just ask Dylan Johnson how he likes his Halo 2's. I clicked into his while he was in the lodge and they felt kinda cumbersome and dead and not super playful just trying to nollie and stuff, but every armada ski I have tried I haven't been a fan of so I guess thats biased.
