Alaska's ski resorts?

What is the best resorts in Alaska for big mountian skiing? Is it worth it to go there or head over to B.C? I wanna plan a Alaska ski vacation but I have no idea what resorts are decent no one ever talks about skiing there other than Heli.

That's because all the resorts up here suck....but if you do come up here...Go to Alyeska Resort in Girdwood, about 40 min. away from Anchorage..I go there every weekend.

yeah i live in juneau and eaglecrest is not that great. wouldnt come here if i lived somewhere else.

yeah I went to EagleCrest when I was at the State Championship Ski Races....I got 4th place overall....

Oh and to answer your question, Alyeska is surrounded by big-mountain and loaded with B.C. and cliffs etc.(approx., but the rarly open it. Of all the resorts in AK, this is probably the one you should go to.

There's a lot of backcountry stuff outside of the resorts, but other than Alyeska, there's pretty much nothing with a chairlift. I'd recommend just heading to BC.
