Mustache Rocker

So im looking for something a little different from what i usually ride, iv been using rockers since I got off my dinky racer tigers a while back. Iv ridden camber a couple of times and like how they handle but i dabble in the park and i caught edges left and right and iv heard camber is shit on rails.

Iv been looking into a couple of skis that have "Mustache Rocker" or Rocker/Camber/Rocker. Iv been looking at moment pb&js and armada alpha x's.

Can anyone gimme the rundown on how these types of skis are on groomed and in the park?

Im pretty much interested in any info on this style in general.

they ride short when ur not on edge, but when u turn the ski on edge you get the full edge so it rips! idk bout armada's though

Ya dude, almost every park ski out there has camber under foot. Camber isn't "shit on rails", sharp edges are.

I suppose i heard wrong then. Im just getting learned on ski technology so its nice to get some feedback. So has anyone skiid this mustache rocker stuff?

It's in the majority of rockered park skis. It performs well enough and makes it a little easier to swap around on rails and you catch less off of takeoffs, but it lessens stability and makes it a bit harder to pop. As with most gear, it's all preferences.

I guess ill have to get a pair attached to my feet and figure out what my preference is. So would you say that rocker/camber/rocker is better for park than classic camber or rocker/flat/rocker? Ill have to get out there and demo some skis next year probably.

100% preference. I can't say what other people prefer but I like wider, softer full camber park skis like the RMU Diam because I can flex and pop them a lot and they are still stable on jumps.

Both have their pros and cons but neither is better than the other. Personally I ride rossi scimitars which have 0 camber and full rocker. I like them a lot because they are pretty forgiving and make presses/swaps easier on rails. On the other hand, I used to ride surface double times which have a lot of camber and had much more pop. The rocker/camber/rocker profile is pretty popular among park skis now though as it sorta has the best of both worlds. Honestly you cant go wrong with either, it all comes down to preference.

spark notes:

If you want a more poppy, stable, responsive ski then full camber is your best bet

Rocker is also very fun and will help with butters/swaps, very fun on rails imo, and a bit more forgiving
