Recommend an alternative genre Album for a pow day?

Hey NS,

Though I DID search bar this, most album suggestions were rap, hip hop, or metal, which isn't really my favorite when skiing pow. Anyone know any good alternative genre albums that I should torrent before skiing some pow tomorrow.

"Alternative"...



I thought we stopped using that term decades ago. To me, 'alternative' is what we called rock in the mid 90's. Tea Party, Our Lady Peace, etc... mainstream rock went either towards grunge, or alternative.

So, without contributing anything helpful to this thread, I just wanted you guys to know that I think alternative isn't actually a real genre of music, but just something we made up in the mid 90's for some silly reason.

Well, to be fair, 'pop' stems from popular, which the industry has bastardized into what it is today. In the end, pop also isn't a real genre.

Rihanna for example is what you could call pop, but her music in reality, is more at home under the r&b realm. A lot of pop songs have more elements of house, trap, r&b amongst other genres, we just put them all into pop because. Shit, pop was a term for music since the 50's, but the only thing consistent with it is the name, the actual style of music in the pop world is constantly changing, hence - it's not an actual style (genre) of music.
