okay, so I made a thread here since I'm not an active member on any android boards
my problem is I need to permanently disable texting and phone calls on my spare S3 because I use it as a camera now and whenever friends break phones they always want to "just put my SIM in there and make a few calls real quick"
I managed to change the APN settings so it cant access the internet as well as find the root file to disable the WI-FI module but I cant find any answers for turning of texting and calling completely.
Phone is rooted so I'm looking to change some file extensions to .bak as I did for the wifi module.

This is silly... this S3 camera isnt even that great... Just sell it and buy a real camera. Or use the phone you have as a camera like the rest of the world?

yeah cause touring with a DSLR and lenses is awesome..
and the screen has a crack in it so essentially worthless
and I'd rather not do any flashing, cause I want it to be simple to reactivate it, so changing the file extension is nice and quick

arent flashable radios purely an HTC thing?
on another note, OP,
sell your s3 and get a real camera
or
turn on airplane mode while youre shooting
or
get on XDA and talk to people who know and care more. They are chill with lurkers.

if i lose or break this its not a big deal, its got a cracked screen. my mountain deosnt have cell service so there is no need to carry my actual cell phone with me.

wait why cnt your friends just borrow it with their sim? and why the fuck do you have to disble wifi? it doesnt even cos you anything.
also, just get an app hiding app with a code, and put settings, phone, messaging and all that jack in there.
