Has anyone had this after overshooting a jump?

So long story short, went huge, overshot, landed on hard pack almost ice. Now the area above my privates really really hurts. Like I can only take one inch step without it seizing up and hurting. Should I get it checked out? Or has anyone else had it before and how long does it take to recover?

yea ball bang sucks. never had it that bad but definitely get that little slap that stings for a while. briefs are a good solution.

Not the same injury but one time i did overshoot badly and when i landed my body had the predictable compression commonly seen when landing flat. Unfortunately my knee connected with my chin and my tooth managed to pierce through my bottom lip and into my chin. Overshoots are nasty as fuck.

A burst appendix would hurts way worse than that and he would most likely start to feel nausea. Id say sounds more like a sports hernia. Still something you want to get checked out.

This is to broad could be a hernia, pulled muscle, hairline pelvic fracture, minor pelvic dislocation, ect

If it is a hernia you should be able to feel a bump right above your bellybutton, in between your abs. I have a hernia but its never given me any problems before.


If it is your appendix you can tell by standing on your tip toes. If it hurts to do that you will want to get it checked out for sure

yea dude sounds like a hernia. I had one a few years ago, and i couldn't walk more then 100 yards without it feeling like some one was tugging my nuts to the floor, hurts like a bitch.

So I found out I have a grade III groin strain. Apparently it will take a while to heal but hopefully ill be back on the slopes soon. Thanks for help guys! +K to you all

You can twist your gonads and need surgery to repair it, not sure about the facts on it but you can google it if you feel inclined. Sounds like exactly what your going through if its still there after a day or two.

You are fine this happened to me once. I over shot a jump and there was shooting pain in my balls so I had to stop skiing for the day. It went away in a few days....... dont wear boxers when skiing.

Lots of shit can go wrong with this. I fucked up my nuts once and it was horrible. Like being kicked in the junk and the pain lasting for five days.

Anyway first things first - forevermore wear supportive underwear.

Second - get that shit checked by a doctor. Way too many things that can go wrong down there to risk it. My shit ended up being fine with some rest , but as others have said there's real serious shit that can go down here so for your boys it's not worth risking it.

Another vote for hernia here. I got a double shoveling snow for kickers. The feeling is like that post kicked in the nuts ache, but it doesn't go away. Because it didn't go away, I seriously thought that my wife was kicking me in the junk in my sleep every night. Go see a dr.

So you can't move without your lower abdomen seizing and causing you pain and you're asking if you should go to the doctor? Lol, YES, you should go to the doctor. A bunch of 21 year-old skiers aren't going to have any idea what this is or how to fix it.

Word of advice for anyone that has a groin strain, dont put that heating treatment cream on the area, because your balls will touch it and it BURNS!!
