Six inch core shot , What do you think I should do NS???

So I wasn't sure if I should post this here and if not let me know... to the point. I was hitting a rail tonight at a buddies house went for a nose press on my board and scraped the tip of the rail. After the hit I looked at the base of my board and it was missing a large amount of Ptex. I'm wondering if I should Ptex it like I normally do or maybe just take it in to a shop because they'll something special for this case??? I usually p tex the small stuff on my board but this is pretty next level. I'm assuming some of you have also experienced this and know what the best call is. Thanks a lot.
And yes it is a snowboard and the best solution would be to throw it out because "snowboarding is gay"... but I could really use some help right now this is a bit traumatic, not even kidding. Thanks again NS

ive gotten core shots about that size before, I just filled them in and it wasn't a problem

big thing is to clean that area with rubbing alcohol and let it dry then ptex it so there is a larger chance of the fill staying in.

Takeit to a shop. You dont want your board to be fucked up. At the shop thell do a base weld and then put p-tex on it. If you put p-tex on a hole that big i will mostlikely fall out. So just take it to the shop.It might cost you a little but its better than buying a new board

This is a base material. Cut out the same shape of this and then put some epoxy in the core shot. Drop the piece of base material into it. Have a board of wood about the width of your board, and at least the length of the core shot. Take the wood and using several clamps, clamp it to your board over the core shot. Be sure to have even pressure over the core shot. This will act as a "press" so the base material will bond properly.

Once you have done this check for any spaces in the bond, if you find any drip normal Ptex in there and do what you would normally do to level out the Ptex.

If its an old board, ride it til its death. If its a newer board, take it to a shop to get it fixed or just ride it til its death. It shouldn't affect how you ride much since its right down the center
