There are some seriously funky things about this place, theres no doubt about that. My shower has no curtain and is just the bathroom floor, which happens to not be tilted towards the drains, so when I turn it on all of the water goes out of the bathroom and into my bedroom...

But there's also some seriously sick shit! (Fingers crossed the photos worked)

in most of the greek islands i stayed at they also had signs about not flushing the toilet paper and putting it in the bins. seems to be a pretty common thing over there in europe, and isnt limited to russia. but what do you expect. its all about the experience. i for one would rather it get interesting if i was staying there

So many threads like these, a perfect example of American's prick-edness. Going out of the country? Not staying in a luxury hotel? Not staying in Dubai or some shit? If the answer's no, they'll probably have lower standards.

If I went to a poor region of Africa and complained about it, you know how much shit I'd get? I'd be an asshole. Point made.

Haha yeah I was in a hotel like this in Belgium. It was a 5 star hotel but the bedroom was flooded.

There's probably a reason that they have never been held in Africa.  It really wouldn't have cost more to make the Olympic venue more habitable.. with, say... non-google translations. Point is, like the first post said, "Seems like Sochi is one huge mess." You're just trying to start a fight man. All he said is so far, Sochi is a mess. Which is true.  Asshole. Now you don't need to go to Africa and complain. :)

No I get y'all. It's just that there's so many threads in it. I honestly just feel bad for them. They're trying to put on a good image for the world after the Cold War and such... But I guess they just focus on the things we'll see on TV.
