Gaming site overthrows mods in bloodless revolution

Noticed that this article about how the users of some gaming forum effectively eliminated the mods. Polls were sent out and the general consensus was that mods were ruling with too much of a iron fist, they had no choice but to release the reigns and allow mass trolling.
Read the article and sound of people.

dude sometimes it really does go too far. When someone starts posting your address, pictures of your house, pictures of guns and knives, and messages threatening to beat/rob/kill you, id hope the people of NS would call the cops.

But for basic ass shit, read what the site representative said, you just gotta sit back and think; "wow, thats literally so stupid." Words cannot describe the timidness of the people on that site. I mean, i used to make some pretty over the top threats and managed to get myself banned a few times for it, but if someone called the police on me id be out of my mind pissed.

I have no problem with the way this website is moderated. NS mods are fine.


But lets be honest, its pretty pathetic for grown adults to cling to having moderator privileges on a website as a status symbol. It should really rotate or something.


But it isn't going to happen of course a sad guy with the ability to ban people on a forum he frequents isn't going to want to relinquish that ability is he?
