I have a down flat down at my mountain that I've been wanting to try, but I'm not confident getting on urban. I feel like it would be easier to disaster or clear the first down and flat, and land on the last down then ride out switch. Would you guys recommend me disastering it my first try? Or should I just try the whole thing. Thanks

Definately do not recommend. I had a friend try this and he got caught on the kink . Now if it were a flat down then i would recommend disastering. Nothing more fun than an urban style disaster on a flat down. Just hit the entire thing.

Okay. Any tips on how to get on? I don't have much experience with down urbans

If it is set relatively low then it is pretty easy to get on. If its set high, then jump "over" the rail. Which means jump first then wait then turn 90 degrees. Sounds stupid but it works for me.

take it on moving parallel to it and don't pop too hard especially on the low one, you'll just hit it quick and faall off

If you're gonna disaster it, the first time you hit it just hit it really fast and clear the whole thing Big Air Dave style. The next time just hit it a little slower and there's your disaster!

Make an extra effort to put your feet on the rail, don't get discouraged if you don' t get the whole thing first day!

Do the whole thing, because if you eat shit going mach 5 trying to disaster the rail, you're going to have a bad time.

years ago i had the same situation as you. i got the disaster first try, still took me over a month to nut up and slide the thing as a DFD. giver bud, nothing wrong with doing things that way, worked out for me.

Try just popping on the bottom down like it's a down rail. IE skip the first lip and just pop off the natural bump formed at the flat to get onto the last down.
That made zero sense. good luck.
