Lost Camera

I was on a ski trip this past weekend (Super Bowl Weekend) and I lost my camera (or it got stolen) I got for Christmas…it wasn't a ridiculous set-up but it was a nice DSLR and I'm super bummed. It can be replaced, but my issue is that it was a gift and I don't know how to break it to my dad that it's gone.

I've called the resort, filed a report with their lost and found and nothing has come up…it's still early (only been missing 2 days) but I'm losing hope quickly. Anyone had any experience in this department? Should I wait another week or so or is it gone forever? Have someone's sticky fingers finally got the best of me?

I was repacking my bag, getting ready to leave. Boots, pants, coat, gloves, helmets scattered everywhere…it didn't make it back in. My guess was that it was kicked (along with it's case) under an indoor stage right by where I was sitting while people were shuffling by trying to get out of the lodge, and I thought I packed it in, and got on a bus to go home 10 minutes later.

That sucks man... my friend lost a camera and it was returned a week later with pics of this guys ass and some other wierd shit

I'd kiss some dude's ass in order to get mine back…it's not like it's a D7, but it was a gift and I really like taking photos, so this is just a real kick in the balls.
