So today I was talking with one of my teachers who is also on park crew at my mountain and he said they were really going to put more emphasis on park and stuff and told me to give him feedback. I was thinking while at it we could find a good name for the park. i.e. keystone has A51, any thing helps i guess, just need ideas
Look at the geography of the park. At seven springs they have the urban style park "the streets" (but it was renamed to the industrial parkway because of burton. No one calls it that though). We also have "the alley" because it is really long and narrow (inb4 that's what she said)
trust me. you don't want to come to my school. Also we still have a shitty park, one of the main focuses right now is getting inverts allowed. we have decent features though, just need kind of a theme
I thought that guy who posted a week or two ago about making skis had an awesome backyard park name. "Hard On Park." Double meaning genius. Here's a few of mine:
Gapetown
Huck City
Trail Closed
Fuck It
Butterton
Jibbin' Dots
Double Eject
Derek Zoolander's Center For Kids Who Can't Ski Good
See this is sundown problem they are worrying about shit that does not matter. naming the park does not make it a better park. I do not think a good name could be made for the park because there is no "vibe" in the park it is so stale riding there. the park could be so good but its the effort of the park crew is what make it shitty. Instead of thinking of names why dont you tell him to make half of the rail Ideas i have given them.
But on a real note they should make inverts acceptable, and put/make features that aren't from 2003. And get rid of some of the shit features that are just plain sketchy. Also the need for rails is real. Like a white girls thirst for alcohol on a Friday night, sundown needs more rails that they can setup different. They have been doing a good job at being more creative then they have been in the past. ex: the rail jam setups have been pretty neat.
Idk, I didn't even name mine. I want to put a beginner park where it is next year and maybe call it "Easy Street" or something that pretty much tells you what it is. I'd rather wait to name it that than change it, and right now there's a 34' dfd and other big rails in there so "Easy Street" wouldn't quite fit.
Trick park
Snowboard Park
Ramp jumps and Grind Barz
Grind Rail Trail
Are all acceptable.
I feel like name should come second though. A good park is a ton better than a mediocre park with a good name. Obviously a cool name is nice, but if you could have some of the parks like A51 etc and call it the Oogity Boogity Terrain Park and it wouldn't really matter. Nobody chooses a mountain based off the name of the park, the features? Def. Also see what you can do about the no inversion rule. Those things are lame as hell.
The name of the mountain is Sundown and the park hill is called.....wait for it....... "andrews" It is stuck in '03 and its complete shit. The park crew is actually pretty cool, but they make every feature for snowboarders/wizards. Most of the shit is impossible to hit. Its got potential though
I thought so. No more tables tops, cause suddenly they're tricera tops.
No more features. Just creatures.
Not measured in distance, but jumps are now dinosaur length. Seismosaurus was over 40 meters.
