Why does my video look like this?

this is a screenshot of a video i shot this weekend.
it is 1080p but seems reallly pixelated and noisy. Any help?

shot on a gh3 iso 400 f8

meh, it doesn't look bad but, for starters it's cloudy. That flat light kills that crispness you are looking for.

Just tweak your settings for each shot, i usually change the shutter speed or iso before every new shot.
Looks like a little bit higher shutter speed would have helped that shot. Color correcting could save it though, definately bring that orange down a bunch.
for image quality, make sure to set the project to the correct codec and to correctly export is

There is no way you should be seeing that bad a quality from a gh3, especially shooting in 1080.

what lens are you shooting with?
what codec?
is it hacked?

this is a screen grab from a cloudy day and there is no artifacts or anything like that in the footage.

You might have the digital crop turned on? That tends to weaked the quality of the image

what nd filter, and why autofocus at f8? Not sure how well it works with that lens, and while it was a novelty on the gh2 and is better on the gh3, my understanding was that it was best with the panasonic "x" lenses. If it is working for you then that's great, but most people use manual focus for video so that the camera doesn't change it on them. By nature, contrast detect has to focus past, then pull it back.

Also, what setings are you using in premiere/with your workflow? Did you compress it/convert it, or do anything to it?

This is just a suggestion not necessarily a fix. I have had similar problems like this and it had to do with my ISO. 400 ISO is not a "native" ISO which means that it will have more noise in the shot compared to the footage being shot in what is considered a native ISO. For DSLRs there are three native ISO's 160, 320, and 640. I find that in cloudy conditions these help reduce noise.

It doesn't appear to be a focus issue, or at least that isn't the only issue. Did you do anything to it before putting it in premiere though? and what settings are you using for your sequence?
