So with the massive dumpage that has been the last few days, and appears to be going strong for a few more, I obviously want to go shred. My problem is do I up to the mountains on thursday and pray to God i don't get stuck in the icy hell that is 1-70 traffic on the way back and be able to make it to my night class's midterm? The Midterm starts at 5:00pm. Would you guys risk it? Or should I just ride with the crowds on saturday/sunday?
If you leave by 1 or 1:30 I don't see any way you couldn't get back (to Boulder?) in time for your midterm. Traffic shouldn't be a problem but I imagine I-70 is indeed either icy or snow-packed in spots, so there's always a risk of some dude going to fast or someone without snow tires getting in an accident that shuts down I-70 for a long time.
