Coolest job ever?

i have worked for a local beer distributor for almost 2 years now and starting this season i have been getting paid to drive a company vehicle up to my local hill and service the taps and fix any problems that happen. There is a bar on the hill and 3 at the base so my boss said that i can ski up and down to get to the bar, and if nothing is wrong, ski as much as i would like as long as i keep an eye on everything.

Although California has had a rough season, im still getting paid to ski, while doing minimum work, and when i do have to fix something it literally takes me a minute tops. I work fri sat sun and get payed for the commute as well, which is about an hour and 30 min.

Any other amateurs have experience with getting paid to ski? id love to hear what you have to say!!

ski patrol? backcountry tours? resort management etc? so many jobs where you can ski hahaha

I mean... just read my sig. I get paid to ski and do fun shit with campers all summer. It doesn't get a whole lot better than that.

That sounds like the perfect job! Do you get salary or per hour or per day or what?


I teach a couple ski lessons per year. That's about all I do to get paid while skiing

Are you working for a beer company or the resort? If you arnt even working for the resort and still getting paid to ski there, thats good.

I work for the beer distributor not the hill which is even better so I dont really have a "supervisor" I get 9.50 an hour which im not complaining about because I dont actually have to work which is different than some of the prior posts.

finally getting some snow though... sick of tearing up my skiis on rocks!

im a ski instructor at my local bump. i teach one lesson a day which is an hour. the rest of the day i lap with the other instructors because we are all park guys. its sick because i get a ton of laps in and get paid to do it. my boss is super chill so he doesnt care that we barely work.

me and the canadian government have a deal where they give me more money than most of you probably make and i go skiing every day. all i have to do answe 5 questions the exact same every 2 weeeks. GOTTA LOVE EI!!!!

It all depends on the person I guess. I get paid to ski and build cool things in the park. Yesterday I was shirtless half the day(mt was closed and I was the only person there) smashing through snow enjoy bluebird and sunshine.

Tired and sore from shoveling like a maniac but pretty stoked on the way things are looking. Really can't think of a job I would want more. If you're happy with your job and think it's the best thing ever, stay with it and live happy.

Park crew, paid to take park laps and fix rails and features. Sometimes the park rats are annoying bt thats when yo have the enjoyment of plling passes and tripping them with the rake.

i worked the chairlifts at my local hill this winter, was pretty fun, free skiing too, doesn't come close to free beer though,

The dream gig is housesitting. I have never been offered these duties for I am an untrustworthy dirtbag, but this is essentially the dream. Live in a sick pad, get paid, lure bitches into hot tub, ski all day. In places like Tahoe housesitters can clean up because a lot of rich douchers only use their McMansions for a week in the summer and then they sit empty the rest of the year. I have heard legends of lucky individuals crushing it for years in prime locations and getting paid well too!!!
