So if you've ever watched mountain biking dual slalom, I think it'd be cool to do that on skis. It has berms, jumps, and rollers. So basically one on one skiercross. But I think it'd be more applicable if done on mogul skis or just on regular twin tips and throw some easy grabs or 360s in there. So hate, build off of, praise, or whatever, let me know. Peace!
One thing I like about MTB DS is how tight the tracks are and it makes it very fast paced compared to the wide skier-cross tracks seem to be at a fast speed, but not as fast paced if you catch my drift.
It would be so hard to make a track last for even one comp on snow compared to dirt.
We did that often when I was still racing, after practices we set up the flags so they crossed the slalom tracks (the holes and tracks after a slalom track setup are pretty gnarly haha), so the track was still slalom but with crazy bumps and turns carved into the hill, i sometimes want to take some slalom flags from the lodges and set up a track like that and hit it on twin tips
I also partially got the idea when the local snowboard team cordoned off the mini mini park at the ski hill and had a head to head race of sorts that cut into the snow like in slalom but incorporated some small tabletop jumps. It'd be really cool to have hip jumps and rails and multiple line choices like 4X mountain biking, so its like mountain bike DS and 4X on skis, head to head, with tricks. Basically, the coolest kind of racing on park/mogul skis.
