Rossignol Axiums vs Axial2

Well firstly how much do you weigh, what's your ability and where are you going to be skiing?

I have Axium 120's and Axial2 120's, the problem I had with the Axium's where that the brakes use to be snap in half or crack really badly from toe heavy switch landings.

What would happen with the Axium's is when I landed switch with my weight forward the heel piece would pop up and the force of the release would cause the brake to get completely destroyed so I really don't recommend the Axium's for park or any highly aggresive skiing unless you're really lightweight. The Axium's are pretty much a kids binding. (Also yes I made sure the forward pressure was set correctly and I had the right DIN setting - I tried increasing the DIN which helped a little but still I had issues with unwanted releases).

The Axial2's are much better both the heel and toe piece are far superior to the Axium's, yes they're a little bit more heavy but it's not really that bad. Definitely go with the Axial's unless you're super lightweight or a very casual slow skier.

Also both bindings will work on fat skis you just need to get the right brake size.

Thanks, I am pretty aggressive in terms of skiing. Plan to do a lot of free skiing back side. Think I will roll with Axial2's.
